- Located in the heart of the Gulf, as anincoming agency, SPL’s mission is to introduce French and international customers to the treasures of our 12 communes. The aim is to enhance the experience of our customers in situ, in the form of unforgettable experiences, in a mythical destination: the Gulf of Saint-Tropez.
- The structure, created 33 years ago under the name “Golfe de Saint-Tropez Tourisme”, initially managed the Maison du Tourisme du Golfe de Saint-Tropez, until 2022.
- Changes in inter-communal competencies led the “Golfe de Saint-Tropez” Community of Communes to rethink the missions delegated to the structure. As a result, the Société Publique Locale changed its name to “Golfe de Saint-Tropez Développement”. Under the aegis of the Communauté de communes, the SPL is chaired by Philippe Leonelli, Mayor of Cavalaire and President of the Dev Eco and Tourism department.
- The SPL now assists the destination’s professionals in structuring and distributing their commercial offers, while acting as aninterface and simplifying procedures for customers interested in a stay in this exceptional region.
- The SPL’s objective is also to encourage the growth of sustainable, controlled economic development, supported by a strong commitment to promoting authentic tourism, by supporting local professionals, particularly those involved in quality initiatives and/or those who make the effort to extend their opening periods.
